Clinical Researcher of the Year – The Americas 2024.
John Pinching reports
One certainty in an uncertain world is how clinical research is ‘making the Americas great again, and again and again’, in perpetuity.
No wonder there was such an optimistic vibe as talented researchers from The Americas gathered for PharmaTimes’ annual shindig.
Of course, when it comes to the Americas there is quite a lot to unpack at the moment!
But what remains consistent, even amid the wrangling and razzmatazz, is pharma’s ability to operate as a defiantly independent entity. Rather than being central to politics, clinical research orbits around it.
The astonishing clinical milestones, which kept roaring along on a spectacularly upward curve during the past year, seem to have unfolded irrespective of administrations.
The ability to decode disease, the motivation to trailblaze and a will to venture into the unknown are all hallmarks of the finest clinical research – and the people at these awards were testament to that.
These endeavours are among the most compelling aspects of the industry in this region. Indeed, it is why the life sciences is able to fire all cylinders – it is why anyone in pharma knows the importance of wearing a clinical research hat (figuratively at any rate).
With this in mind, cheering on excellence is the least we can do.
