International Clinical Researcher of the Year Awards 2025 proved to be yet another unforgettable evening. John Pinching reports
As sure as night follows day, the International Clinical Researcher of the Year Awards returned for another special evening of homage-paying and saluting to some of pharma’s finest.
Yes, every year since 1999 the good folk of ‘clin-rez’ have been recognised for their sterling work – and this time the location was the Lancaster Hotel in London town.
They were welcomed – as tradition dictates – by tinkly jazz and celebratory beverages. It was all, of course, a mildly intoxicating aperitif to an explosive, reputation-boosting super-ceremony during which dreams would be crystalised in stark reality.
Indeed, gifted people from all four corners of Planet Earth converged on the capital to celebrate an area that is seldom celebrated. No wonder the distribution of title and trophies was greeted with such deafening revelry, as whoops and whistles dominated proceedings.
Amid the cheers, there is something relentlessly curious about our awards – we still want to know about the nuance behind global excellence and the personnel driving innovation forward in an area that fuels the pistons of the wider healthcare ecosystem.
Hosting was undertaken by the unshakable TV doctor Dawn Harper while linguistic gymnastics were executed by peerless pronouncer, Alan Dedicoat.
